Graphic Designer, 12-month contract

 

Trinity Lutheran College is an Early Years to Year 12 Christian co-educational college, located centrally in Ashmore on the beautiful Gold Coast and we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our College as a Graphic Designer, this is a full-time, 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension.

As a key member of our Community Engagement Team, you will play a crucial role in all things marketing and design. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about creating quality graphic design material and contributing to the overall brand of our college.

Along with your positive and energetic attitude, you will be naturally confident in communicating with stakeholders & staff at all levels. As our successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following key skills and characteristics:

 

  • Excellent organisation skills with a keen eye for detail and out of the box thinking.  
  • Have a proactive and ‘can do’ attitude with an exceptional communication style.
  • Have a team-focused approach and brings a can-do attitude.
  • Tertiary qualified in graphic design or related field (desirable, but not essential)
  • Understanding of the importance of visual branding and visual communication
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite especially InDesign (Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant tools.
  • Experience utilising video editing and photography skills to produce engaging multimedia content such as social media content, promotional videos etc

 

About the Graphic Design role:

  • Responsible for providing high-quality graphic design services from brief to production stage including digital assets, social media, signage, printed and online publications, event collateral and document templates.
  • Be able to create engaging content and digital assets suitable for use across multiple platforms including social media and digital video, utilising latest digital trends and audience insights.
  • Ensure brand consistency by adhering to established brand guidelines, while pushing creative boundaries to keep the brand fresh and engaging.
  • Provide a design consultancy service to internal staff, including the ability to translate complex and technical information into simplified but compelling design solutions.
  • Produce quality work within short timeframes, remaining solution focused and adaptable to meet expectations.
