OUR COLLEGE

Early Learning

At Trinity Lutheran College our image of the child is rich in potential, strong, powerful, competent and, most of all connected to all who share his or her space. Our goal is that all who enter the gate of our Early Learning Centre discover joy, adventure and a love of learning and emerge as a confident and collaborative child who is excited to embrace new challenges and experiences in prep.

Trinity’s ELC: Little Stars

Little Stars is Trinity’s co-educational pre-primary school. Your child is at the centre of everything we do and, through our pre-school programme, we want to inspire your child with a love of learning and give them a solid foundation for the years ahead. We accept children from 2 1/2 years of age until school age and each room has a team of 2-4 educators who work together to provide `excellence in early childhood education’.

our advantage

Our unique program also includes weekly lessons on site using the Trinity Junior Years facilities with specialist teachers including PE, swimming, library and Japanese. This contributes to a confident transition to school as children are already familiar with the school environment, specialist teachers and the Junior Years curriculum.

ENROL NOW

our teachers

Our teachers are qualified in early childhood and in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program specifically designed for ages 3-5 years. They foster children’s growth and learning in these critical years through unique daily programs grounded in the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and the Early Years Learning Framework.

We value the diverse experiences, abilities and qualities of every child. Our programs are centred on play, allowing your children to learn through inquiry and hands-on experiences that inspire creativity, co-operation and self-learning.

a flying start to school

Our supportive and caring family atmosphere helps children develop a firm foundation to be socially, emotionally, physically and cognatively prepared for their learning years ahead. Please view our brochure for more information about our Early Learning Centre.

our christian ethos

Whilst we welcome children of all faiths and beliefs, we are a Christian school and our Christian values are visible in all our teaching staff and programs. We have a College pastor who supports our educators in the sharing of Christian stories and songs with the children and they attend the Junior Years Chapel service on alternate Friday mornings during term time with excursion permission from parents/guardians. Our services focus on teaching life skills, biblical values and Christian beliefs, which are a fundamental aspect of raising young people of integrity and courage. We believe that by teaching children the core principles of love and acceptance at an early age, they will continue to encompass these values as they grow, both physically and emotionally.
