The Trinity Journey

Trinity Lutheran College provides an educational environment that is designed to facilitate learning and assist in developing young men and women of character who are confident and resilient, consistently strive for their personal best, delight in discovery, exercise compassion and are courageous in their choices. We walk this journey of progress and development with our students and, as you will see from these pages, there are numerous activities and opportunities from which they can choose and grow.

Our Cotlew Street Campus is home to our Early Learning Centre, Little Stars, our Playgroup, our Junior Years (Prep to Year 5) and our Outside School Hours Care. It is a stand-alone primary school, with the resources many P-12 schools would envy: our own college hall, art room, music room, heated swimming pool, library, modern air-conditioned classrooms, sports grounds, canteen, learning support centre and more.

Little Stars caters for boys and girls from two years of age with comprehensive full and part-time programs taught in our purpose-built centre. Your child is at the centre of everything we do and, through our pre-school programme, we want to inspire your child with a love of learning and give them a solid foundation for the years ahead. Dedicated teachers encourage a passion for discovery through play, in a nurturing environment for young girls and boys.

Our Junior Years community is a small close-knit one where our teachers know almost every student by name. It is an environment that allows children to develop at a slower pace, in keeping with their chronological age, outside the influence of older teenagers. Students in our Junior Years also take on leadership roles at an earlier age.

Our Prep to Year 5 Buddy and Peer Support Programs foster important connections, increased confidence, and greater self-control for both the younger and the older children on this campus. Our Junior Years is a safe haven for childhood offering a gentle passage into the more complex Middle and Senior Years on our Ashmore Road campus.

Our Ashmore Road Campus is home to our Middle Years (Years 6-9) and Senior Years (Years 10-12), offering state-of- the-art facilities, dedicated teachers and outstanding programs. Our goal is that all who enter our gates emerge as socially capable, creative and contributing citizens, well-positioned to fly high.

middle YEARS:

year 6 to year 9

Our dedicated Middle Years provides a supportive bridge between the Primary and Senior Years. The purpose-built Middle Learning Precinct for students in Years 6 to 9 offers curricular programs specifically designed for students who are dealing with a time of particular physical, social and emotional growth.

We gently introduce our Years 6 and 7 students to the demands and responsibilities of high school through our expertly designed Years 6/7 Transition Program, helping to prepare them emotionally and academically for high school. The Middle Years’ core curriculum is supplemented by first-rate educational facilities, co-curricular programs and annual camps, ensuring a well-rounded education for every student.

Our Senior Years cater for years 10 to 12, offering a challenging educational program of curriculum and co-curricular activities. Personal excellence is one of our key values and our teachers encourage our students to work towards achieving their individual potential and personal best in their academic, sporting and artistic pursuits, making the most of Trinity’s first-class grounds and facilities.

Life in the Senior Years aims to equip students to become independent, capable young adults able to tackle the challenges of life beyond school and become valued members of a global community.
