TRINITY INTER – HOUSE SWIMMING CARNIVAL

The Year 4 to 6 and Year 7 to 12 Inter-House Carnivals were held on consecutive days against the backdrop of blissful sunshine, passionate house spirit and blended championship and non-championship events. Across both carnivals, the standards were high in and out of the water, with booming, cheering and support willing the swimmers down the pool.  Once again, the ‘house swims’ were a highlight, with excellent participation from all houses throughout both carnivals. Thank you to the wonderful Trinity Aquatic Club for overseeing the canteen, along with the Facilities Team for their excellent contribution, before, during and after the event.

AGE CHAMPIONS

APS | JNR APS SWIMMING

On the back of a strong Inter-House Carnival, the hopes were high for a powerful showing at the JNR APS and APS Swimming Championships. These ambitions were our reality, with outstanding results across both carnivals. The very best of the Trinity spirit was on the display, with tremendous individual swims, outstanding relay performances [including first place in the all-age freestyle relay at the JNR APS Carnival] and a determined willingness to compete in any event for the College. Best wishes to the 19 Trinity athletes who will represent Trinity and the Hinterland District at the South Coast Regional Swimming Championships.

LUTHERAN SWIMMING CARNIVAL

It was all smiles at the Lutheran Swimming Carnival, with a dominant display executed by our Year 3 to 6 swimmers.  The Trinity Junior Swimming Team thrived against our fellow Lutheran schools to take away the Division 1 Aggregate Trophy. The day was filled with smiles, spirited and friendly competition and personal best times.  Despite the very early start [leaving at 6.45am!], our team thoroughly enjoyed the well – organised Carnival.  Special thank you to our Head Coach Anthony Heath and Assistant Coach Katie Lopez for their oversight of the Trinity Aquatics Program – greatly appreciated!

RUGBY POSTS SHINE BRIGHT ON THE TOP OVAL

Under the direction of Trinity Head of Rugby, Mr. Jason Croll, rugby specific posts have been erected on the top oval. This has now given rugby a true ‘home’ for APS Season 1,  along with the Trinity 7’s program [boys and girls]. Thank you to the Facilities Team for their significant efforts in bringing this vision to fruition.

QLD ROWING CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS | NATIONAL ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS – BEST WISHES

Selected members of the Trinity Rowing Team enjoyed significant success at the QLD Rowing Championships held at Wyaralong Dam earlier this year.  On the back of a dedicated training regime, coupled with quality coaching and guidance from Trinity staff, our athletes won several medals against quality opposition and claimed numerous finals berths.
