Congratulations to the Class of 2023 on their final subject results and ATAR results (Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank) released on Friday, 15 December 2023. Trinity is a non-selective school that offers holistic education to all students, and our students consistently achieve above state and national averages across all the key academic measures. The Class of 2023 continues to achieve excellent academic outcomes.

We are delighted to share the excellent outcomes from the Class of 2023 based on students who consented to share the data with the college.

These outstanding achievements reflect the exceptional talents and diligence of the Class of 2023, the dedication and guidance of our teaching staff, and the commitment and support of their parents. Scholars’ Assembly will be held early in 2024 to celebrate their achievements, and for them to share their wisdom of their final years of schooling. We cannot wait to see what the next step of their learning will bring in coming months.

**Under the Queensland Certification of Education (QCE) system, all students undertake internal assessments (IA) from Term 4 Year 11 which contribute from 50 to 75% of the overall subject results; and during late October each year, students undertake external assessments (EA) in the subjects covering the remaining 25 to 50% of their subject final results. Eligible Year 12 students are awarded an ATAR calculated by Queensland Tertiary Admission Centre (QTAC) using these subject results. ATAR is a primary mechanism used nationally for tertiary admissions. It is a percentile rank score from 0.00 to 99.95 indicating a student’s position relative to all the students in their cohort in Queensland (QLD). In other words, an ATAR of 85.00 meant that the person awarded the percentile rank is achieving higher than 85% of the cohort in Queensland, i.e. being placed in the top 15% of the cohort.
