2024 Teaching Positions – Junior Years Teachers

Applications are invited for Junior Years Teachers across Early Years (P-2) and Junior Years (3-5). These roles will be Full Time (permanent and Fixed Term positions available) commencing in Term 1, 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a positive focussed classroom atmosphere, a place where student learning and involvement is actively encouraged.
- Applicants should have knowledge and experience in inquiry pedagogy and experience in an IB PYP school is desirable. Develop positive relationships with children, staff colleagues, parent/caregivers.
- Prepare thoroughly for day-to-day teaching, demonstrating a professional attitude to teaching, related in-service and professional development.
- Ensure competence in planning and implementation of learning programs to cater for all students.
- Exhibit a willingness to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and continually develop and maintain a high standard of teaching performance.
- Collaborate positively with colleagues to share information, resources, and best practices.
- Implement strategies to address individual student needs and promote inclusivity.
- Ensure competence in planning and implementation of learning programs to cater for students.

In addition, the candidate must hold appropriate tertiary qualifications in Junior Years Education, as well as current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration.
