Leadership
Trinity has been blessed with strong, stable leadership from our College Council to our Principal and Executive Team and our teachers.
Trinity has been blessed with strong, stable leadership from our College Council to our Principal and Executive Team and our teachers.
Our philosophy and approach reflect the African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child”. Our village at Trinity is a globally connected and community minded one, and we focus on developing equally, the head, heart and hand. In this way we develop globally connected and internationally attuned young people whose personal and work lives will span the boundless border of nations and countries through the intelligent, responsible and ethical use of emerging information and communication technology.
We are community minded. Our parents, teachers and college stakeholders, inclusive of alumni, past parents, community leaders and governments (local, state and national) all collaborate to provide wonderful 21st century learning opportunities for our young people. All learning is centred in clear and distinct Christian values based on Lutheran traditions, helping our students to learn and grow into balanced and contributing citizens.
Teachers at Trinity Lutheran College are specifically trained and accredited for teaching according to the values and ethos of the college. They are highly qualified professionals who are committed to the college mission to provide for the holistic development of every single student within a nurturing and empowering learning environment.
Our teachers are widely recognised for their commitment to ongoing professional development, and in particular for their leadership, creativity and expertise in the arts, technology, student wellbeing, cyber safety, sporting areas, languages, literacy, numeracy and the sciences.
Trinity Lutheran College senior school teachers are strongly represented on Queensland Curriculum and Assessment moderation panels and their expertise is shared with other schools.
The Lutheran Church Of Australia Queensland District is the governing body for all Lutheran schools in Queensland. It appoints and delegates local governance responsibility to the Trinity Lutheran College Council. This body is responsible for the appointment of the Principal, the broad policy setting, the strategic direction, and the ethos and well-being of the college.
The council consists of up to 10 communicant members of the Lutheran Church of Australia, with at least one member being an ordained minister of the Church. Nominations are submitted by Lutheran Education Queensland Schools Council to the Lutheran Church of Australia Queensland District Church Council, which formally appoints members to the college council.
