The 2022 Rowing Season was a resounding success: with great team cohesion, strong training attendance, quality coaching, excellent results at local and championship regattas and significant numbers of young and keen rowers coming through. Our squad performed exceptionally well throughout the local regatta season which formed the base for a successful and rewarding championship season. One common thread throughout the 2022 squad, was the genuine improvement and development of all rowers; including our novice squad members, all the way to our more experienced, seasoned team members.
A highlight for the year was returning to Lower Clarence Rowing Club for our annual rowing camp. The rowers were treated to amazing rowing conditions and exceptional hospitality, led by the wonderful Linda and Paul Frewen. Students enjoyed team bonding exercises, quality coaching, and Trivia night hosted by our Team Captains, Elly and Johahn!
This year we bid farewell to three Year 12s, Elly Clifford, Ermin Gugic and Johahn Tan. We thank them for their leadership, hard work, enthusiasm, and excellent contribution to the team on and off the water. All three Year 12s finished the season on the best possible high – winning medals at the State Championships in their last race for Trinity.
Thank you to the Rowing Supporters Group for their tireless and diverse support throughout the year. The Trinity Rowing Program could not survive without the significant contribution of this group. The College is very fortunate to have such a supportive and passionate group of parents who work in sync with the school to provide the best rowing experience for the Trinity Rowing Squad.

Trophy Regatta
Congratulations to the entire Trinity Rowing Team for their outstanding performances at Trophy Regatta. Many exceptional results were achieved by our crews throughout the day of tough racing. Special thank you to the Trinity Rowing Supporters Group for their tireless work in facilitating the fundraising efforts and to the Trinity rowing families for their great support of our rowing program.
Even with all Year 8 single and double events being cancelled due to the strong winds, Trinity secured 14 Div.1 medals at the Trophy Regatta – doubling our medal count in 2021. The highlight of the day was the Girls squad winning every single Div.1 race from Year 9 up.
