Part-Time, Permanent, Immediate start or by negotiation

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coach developing swimmers from within the Trinity Aquatics Program – namely the Bronze Squad.
  • Work closely with the Head Swimming Coach to facilitate the efficient functioning and development of the overall Trinity Aquatics Program.
  • Develop swimmer technique in line with the Trinity Swim Model
  • Attend specified competitions and carnivals as set by the Head Swimming Coach.
  • Plan and implement training programs including water and land-based training sessions to advance the level of swimming in relevant training squads.
  • Help facilitate the transition of swimmers through the Trinity Aquatics Squad Pathway.
  • Contribute to an effective coaching structure, and actively engage in continuous personal development and the development of Trinity Swimming.
  • Any other duties as required by the Head Swimming Coach, Director of Sports, Business Manager, or Principal providing such duties are appropriate to the role.

 

Selection Criteria

  • Accredited swim coach with a minimum ASCTA Development Coach or Bronze Level Coach Licence or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in coaching school – age swimmers within a developmental pathway.
  • Must possess knowledge of long-term athlete development.
  • Can plan and implement training sessions in the water and on the land to produce the development of skills and performance.
  • Be committed to developing school – age athletes in line with the ethos and values of Trinity Swimming.
  • Display and instill strong and inspiring leadership qualities.
  • Be a strong team player, capable of integrating their own ideas with those in a broader organizational environment. This entails working closely with the Head Coach for the overall development of the program.
  • Be capable of planning and delivering against identified goals.
  • Be a self-starter capable of creating new ideas and implementing them.
  • Must have the drive, energy and enthusiasm for encouraging passion, enjoyment and achievement in swimming.
  • Be able to work in a team environment and support the Christian ethos of the College.
  • Must have a current Blue Card; or be eligible to apply for a Suitability Card for working with children. COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate and First Aid with CPR.
