Early Learning Centre Lead Educator – Full Time (Fixed Term) and Casual Educators

Trinity Lutheran College is a Kindergarten to Year 12 Christian co-educational college and an International Baccalaureate World School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP).  Located in Ashmore on the beautiful Gold Coast, we offer a world class education for all students.

Trinity Lutheran College invites applications for the position of full time Lead Educator for our Little Stars Early Learning Centre, with the successful candidate commencing as soon as possible. Additionally, we are also seeking applications for Casual Educators to form part of our roster, please indicate which role you are applying for on your application.

 

Key duties will include:

  • Planning and delivering a high-quality early childhood education curriculum
  • Maintaining all documentation required to support children’s learning and development
  • Fostering the well-being and development of all individuals associated with the service through the creation of a secure and supportive environment
  • Working collaboratively as a member of a team with the Early Learning Centre Director to maintain the highest possible standards of care
  • Liaising with service staff and reporting serious issues to the Director
  • Engaging in personal and professional development to ensure a thorough knowledge of all aspects relating to early childhood education and the centre’s operation

 

General selection criteria

  • Experience with planning and implementing a high-quality educational program
  • Experience with critical reflection, goal setting and quality improvement
  • Diploma in Children’s Services or Certificate III in Childcare with experience required
  • Interpersonal skills appropriate to establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students and staff
  • Experience working with the National Early Childhood legislation and National Quality Framework desirable
  • An ability to work in a Christian context
  • Current Suitability Card (Blue Card) or eligible to obtain prior to commencement
  • Current First Aid and CPR or ability to obtain
